hey! I haven’t blogged in a while, i’m sorry. I’ve been in Thailand for a week or two now, but I feel like I didn’t do South Africa justice on my blog, so here are a few pictures that sum up the highlights πŸ™‚

My longest ministry in Jbay was called Beats and Books. Beats and Books is an after school program that teaches kids from the neighboring township an instrument, along with helping them with their homework, teaching them how to worship, and providing them a place to be safe and seen among the chaos.

sissies Christmas! we didn’t have stocking but we had pick n pay bags baby!

sissies Valentine’s Day! T gave us all sunflowers and we all ate too much chocolate.

Avery and I painted this door at Beats and Books. In the mornings we helped out around the house, painting and cleaning. In the afternoon we hung out with the kids and helped them with their homework.

all the girls that lived at GLA. Testify, sisters and mosaic. We called ourselves the Jeffery’s baes for like a week. Kinda gross

This is our living room that every Sunday got turned into a house church. When it wasn’t filled with the whole Global community, we doodled, listened to podcasts, danced and enjoyed our time as a little family πŸ™‚

People claim that this field, that was our backyard, is the best place in Jbay to watch the sunset…i think they are right.

our favorite coffee shop, machine, and their wonderful owners jaco and claire <3

The last week in Africa mom and dad came to visit! One of my favorite weeks of the race. I loved seeing them and having them get a look into what I have been doing the past 6 months

we brought all of the beats and books kids to the beach twice. Hectic, but they loved it.

All of December was spent doing manual labor at the school we lived next to. This is a picture of us laying concrete on a roof in 40 mph winds πŸ™‚

I hope this gives you a little bit of a better look into my 3 months in South Africa. It was definitely hard, but rewarding. I grew immensely spiritually in this season and I wouldn’t trade it for the world…love you jbay <3
